dc.description.abstractThe allocation of power to the pilot in hidden-pilot-aided precoding schemes, which provide high efficiency in bandwidth utilisation, for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing systems was investigated. By maximising the lower bound on the effective signal-to-interference plus noise ratio, the closed-form solution was derived for pilot power allocation in both the low and high signal-to-noise ratio regions. Numerical results present the advantages of the proposed scheme for allocating power to the hidden pilot in terms of bit error rate and average channel capacity.-
