Abstract
Quite a portion of main discussion on the relationship between Confucius and Zhouyi addressed in the history of Yiology is solved after the Yizhuan of Silk Manuscript was excavated at Mawangdui. In the Yizhuan of Silk Manuscript, the valuable details of standpoint on the Zhouyi of Confucius and relationship between divination and morality & wisdom that Zhouyi had are included as well. With all these, this paper intensively analyzed the standpoint on Zhouyi of Confucius seen from the Chapter of Yao of Silk Manuscript. It says the characteristics of Zhouyi to which Confucius paid attention in his later years are multi-layered and can be different, according to the attitude and horizon of the understanding of Zhouyi. According to the Chapter of Yao of Silk Manuscript, Confucius thought morality and wisdom were more important than divination, and saw that achieving morality and wisdom was the purpose of the interpretation of Zhouyi and the highest level. This actually means that Zhouyi was upgraded from the area of stratagem to the level of study, namely, Zhouyi was shifted from the strategem of divination to the horizon of the study of morality and wisdom. Confucius emphasized viewing Zhouyi through morality and wisdom.
