- Abstract
- Detection of C-reactive protein (CRP) as a biomarker of the possible cardiovascular disease has been studied using a portable surface plasmon resonance (SPR) sensor system. The protein G has been utilized to anchor the monoclonal antibody of CRP (anti-CRP) to detect CRP. Sequence injection of the protein G, anti-CRP and bovine serum albumin into the sensor system has been carried out to form the linkage layer, to immobilize the antibody and to prevent non-specific bindings. The portable SPA system has two flow channels: one for the sample injection and the other for the reference. To get the actual valid signal, the signal from the reference was subtracted from the signal from the sample channel to suppress the outer interferences. The actual valid signals at the critical concentrations of the CRP have been investigated.
