Abstract
I researched that phrase as a concept of comparing with compound word isn't coincide with phrase as concept of corresponding to XP in phrase-structure rule. But we have used we use equally the term of phrase in two case. In phrase-structure rule, just X is able to become XP. But phrase in morphology should be consist of more than two words. At this point, the concept of phrase is differentiated each other. This problem appears also in description of school grammar. It is very important to use the term consistently in school grammar. But at present, the term of phrase isn't used consistently in school grammar. This state can raise confusion in description of grammar. So I suggested to use the term of phrase only as indicating to XP in phrase-structure rule in school grammar. In morphology, we don't need particularly phrase as a concept of comparing with compound word. Because it is sufficient just to distinguish compound with composition that is bigger than compound in morphology. By doing so, we cab keep the concept of phrase consistently without confusion in school grammar.
