The Special Fashion District in Chungdam, is the only district densely Luxury-branded district in Korea. Usually Luxury Branded Districts are very touristic and very crowded but in Chungdam the districts are only frenquented by privileged class people. In 2008 to resolve this problem, the minister of economic designated Chungdam/Apgujeong districts as "the Special Fashion Districts" in order to make this districts more world-widely famous with national support, but the project is progressing with a huge lack of Chungdam's Tranditional identity knowledge.
This study will be based on the research among the professionals, merchants and visitors on Chungdam as Fashion district which has the most Strong and clear Cultural identity to search programs to transform this district as the center of art and fashion and finally to propose a basic direction for specializing this district according to the result.
